bespoke and custom wedding, engagement, partnership and celebration rings
We specialise in hand-making custom and bespoke wedding, engagement and partnership rings; you can see some examples of the kind of thing we do here. All our handmade rings are carved from the raw metal. We don't cast them because we enjoy working directly with the material we're using.
Because of this, all our rings have an organic, gentle, friendly feel to them. If you're after a space-age, CAD designed, geometric piece of perfection then we're probably not the right jeweller for you.
We work with you to come up with what you're looking for. We love to incorporate gemstones, and keep a small stock of interesting stones but can always source anything specific. We are happy to work out no-obligation quotes, please just CONTACT US with your questions and requirements.
We can work in copper, bronze, brass, sterling silver, 9ct gold (yellow, rose and white) and 18ct gold (yellow, rose and white). We don't work in platinum, palladium or titanium.
bespoke and custom talismans and charms
Our favourite thing to do is to turn a precious found object into a wearable work of art. We can work in sterling silver, as well as in yellow, white and rose gold. If you have a random pebble, fossil, gemstone, or piece of china which is precious to you, we can help!
We work with found objects including (but not limited to) shells, nuts, stones, bones, teeth, crystals, coins, gemstones, pebbles, screws, cogs, scraps of fabric … pretty much any component you can think of … there’s a very good chance that the more obscure your request, the more we’ll like it. Don’t be shy about GETTING IN TOUCH - we’ve had all sorts of unusual requests!

bespoke and custom cast amulets
We also now have on-site facilities to cast small objects. We use the ancient technique of sandcasting, and can work with sterling silver, as well as yellow, white and rose gold.
Here’s an example from 2018 in sterling silver. Our client had a mountain biking accident in Europe and plunged 20ft into a river; his front tooth was knocked clean out. He asked us to cast it for him in solid sterling silver, to be worn as trophy and talisman! We also put together a custom silver chain for him. The right hand images shows the reverse side of the tooth pendant, illustrating the level of detail which can be achieved by hand casting.
Find out more about how we sandcast found animal bones and teeth in this BLOG POST.
Prices vary, generally starting from around £150 for a piece in sterling silver.
… or make your own!
We offer a varied programme of One Day Beginners’ Workshops in our beautiful rural jewellery studio, just outside the village of Frosterley in Weardale, County Durham. You can choose to work in either sterling silver or 9ct gold.
We also offer private Make Your Own Wedding Rings days, which are fully catered and conclude with a champagne afternoon tea!
Occasionally, we offer workshops in other venues. Please check out our Workshops & Events page for details.
